Common Name: Cat Grass
Latin Name: Dactylis glomerata
Description: Low growing grass ideal for cats and dogs to provide vitamins and minerals and as a dietary supplement. Cat grass aids digestion and helps cats rid themselves of fur balls. Height 20cm.
Harvesting: Keep in pots at pet height for cats and dogs to munch on at their leisure.
Best Results: If leaves become a little tough cut down to 10cm to encourage new growth. Some pets totally devour this plant so it may be best to have two pots on the go. Also, an old upturned wire hanging basket over the top of the pot will stop your pet from eating the grass right down to the roots.
Uses: Suitable for cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and even birds.
Companion: Especially enjoyed by cats kept indoors or in enclosures. Grow in pots and not in the garden.
