Description : Narrow, ribbon-like, leafy stalks that grow in large clumps have distinctive lemon fragrance. White base of stem is edible. Perennial. 100cm
Harvesting: Pick leaves or remove portions of the stem as required. Can be frozen.
Best Results : Divide late in winter to rejuvenate plant.
Uses : Tea is a relaxing bedtime drink. White, fleshy stem is chopped and used in all styles of Asian cuisine. Tie several stems together as BBQ basting brush.
Companion : Plant around outdoor area as plant is an excellent insect repellent. Citronella oil is made from lemon grass.
