Description: Deciduous shrub with long lemon-scented leaves and sprays of tiny white flowers in summer. Perennial. Up to 3m tall.
Harvesting: Harvest leaves when young for extra fragrance. Best fresh but retains perfume when dried in bunches.
Best Results: Prune each season to encourage bushy growth. Shelter from strong winds.
Uses: Fresh leaves are used in herb teas and summer drinks or in chicken and fish dishes. Dried leaves are used in potpourri.
Companion: Plant around patio areas for lovely fragrance on warm nights.
