Common Name: Pennyroyal
Latin Name: Mentha pulegium
Description: Fast creeping, highly fragrant mint with glossy green leaves and purple flowers borne on small spikes in summer. Withstands light traffic. Perennial. 15cm.
Harvesting: Harvest for potpourris at any time.
Best Results: Cut flowers spikes once finished. Tolerant of many conditions.
Uses: Plant amongst paving or as a ground cover so that, when walked on, releases it’s minty fragrance. Not recommended to be taken internally.
Companion: Traditionally used to repel ants and rodents.
