Description: Highly prolific and robust variety of basil with very large, crinkled leaves similar in appearance to lettuce. Aromatic perfume. Annual. Height 55cm.
Harvesting: Harvest frequently and remove flowers to encourage new growth.
Best Results: Grow in full sun in rich, well drained soil. The more basil is harvested, the more it should be fertilised. Add lots of organic matter.UsesUse leaves in salads, Italian dishes, herbal teas & oils. Particularly good in pesto.
Companion: Rub on skin as repels mosquitoes. Plant near tomatoes to improve flavour.
